EDGE OF DOCK LEVELER INSTALLATION & REPAIRS

We install, service and repair all brands and models of Edge-of-Dock Levelers. Edge of Dock Levelers are commonly called EOD’s and are a simple, cost effective solution to accommodate low-volume loading dock traffic.

In contrast to traditional pit mounted dock levelers, the edge of dock leveler platform mounts on the exterior building wall and can accommodate dock / trailer height differentials.

The exterior mounting configuration of the edge of dock leveler greatly simplifies the installation process. The installation requires no concrete cutting and the leveler easily mounts on the existing concrete.

The standard EOD is configured as a manually operated system. A spring assist mechanism minimize the effort required to deploy the leveler. These units are also available with either air or hydraulic powered operation, allowing push-button leveler deployment, which makes its operation easier.

The edge of dock leveler includes an integrated rubber bumper system to protect the building, dock and leveler from trailer impacts.

Optional trailer restraint systems are available to improve safety around the dock area. These options allow the edge of dock leveler to replace several safety systems with one versatile leveler.

FAQs

What is an edge of dock leveler?

An edge of dock leveler (EOD) is a platform mounted to the dock face that bridges the gap between the dock and trailer, allowing for safe and efficient loading and unloading without the need for a concrete pit.

Edge of dock levelers are ideal for docks with limited space, lower traffic volume, or tighter budgets. They’re a practical choice when height differences between the dock and trailer are minimal and a full pit leveler isn’t necessary.

Yes, edge of dock levelers are designed for quick installation on existing concrete docks without cutting or extensive construction, making them a cost-effective retrofit option.

Absolutely. While standard models are manually operated with spring assist, EODs are also available in air-powered and hydraulic versions for easier, push-button operation.

Edge of dock levelers typically support capacities ranging from 20,000 to 30,000 pounds, depending on the model and configuration. Contact us to determine the right fit for your loading needs.
